Room changes...the life of an SLP!!!!

Hey everyone,

So since my last post and the great ideas I wanted to execute this year; things have changed. Therefore, when life gives you lemons create a miracle, LOL!!  So this year I have been moved from a room that most therapist would have thought to be a great room to the custodian closet. As most therapist who work in a school know that is the life we live. However, once receiving the news and getting over the initial shock, anger, and disappointment.  I declared this another challenge for me, besides the custodian room which has a support beam in the middle of the floor is better than about three years ago when I was told to use the dressing room on the back of the stage in the cafeteria/auditorium. Needless, to say I am a therapist and being creative is my life.

So here are some before pictures....

So that there is no confusion I am taking pictures from the door way. Ummm!! Interesting layout I'm sure your thinking. Oh, by the way this room came with no internet hook ups.

Next, this is the room with about half of the boxes moved in and the unpacking stage in progress. If you look close you can see one of my co-workers head, she was on the floor unpacking boxes.

Last but not least this is the almost finished product. Let me take the time out now to thank some awesome co-workers who helped move and unpack boxes. This is an angel from the desk area.

I hope to be totally finished by Monday morning and have pictures of the the finished product. I know as Therapists we all tend to get small spaces, but at the end of the day its what you do with it. In my case it was trying to figure out how to down size. Oh! there is a tall lock cabinet not pictured, however, from the angel I am standing at it would be on the wall to my right.  Also, my cute little benches, well two of them are in the back for my Artic Lab kids or what most call "5 min. kids".

If anyone, has any suggestions or so see something I could change please let me know.
