Providing Supervision

This blog post is for all the SLPs that will be supervising a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant. As we all know or should know there are requirements for supervising a SLP-Assistant.

I am currently located in Texas and when providing supervision for a SLP-Assistant one should give 1 hour of direct supervision and 1 hour of in-direct supervision. Please refer to your state licensure board for more information. For those of you located in Texas you may click on the following link http://www.asha.org/Advocacy/state/info/TX/Texas-Support-Personnel-Requirements/ .

With that being said, I have created a "Supervision Log" to assist in organization and ensure you all are always providing the required supervision time.

This particular log is designed to track direct and in-direct supervision for the individual you will be supervising.
