Never get caught without it!!!!

Like most SLPs you probably keep your ASHA license and your State license tucked in your wallet; probably right next to your driver license and your ATM card. Makes since I know. However, if you’re an SLP like me who travels from school to school or perhaps does some PRN work on the side, you may never really have a safe place to lock your belongings. Therefore, this may be the post for you.

So in a quest to think of another location to keep my license and certification card; I found myself trying out a few new locations.

First, I tried  the case which holds my badge (However, it turns out some days you forget your badge. Oops!).

Next,  my work bag, but as you know SLPs have 1,000 plus bags we rotate in and out (you know the ones  we get at our conventions).

Finally, it hit me. What was the one thing I always have with me?

MY CALENDAR!!

However, this led me to my next dilemma. I needed to find a way to safely and securely carry my 2 precious cards without them accidentally slipping out or becoming ruined.  As you know, most calendars if any do not have pockets. Um! What was a girl to do?

So, this is when I turned to Google or what my mom calls “The Goog-ler”. I began looking for mini sleeves or mini sheet protectors. Then I thought about lamination, but that would defeat the purpose. I needed it to be protected as well as stick in place. Finally, I found a mini pocket sleeve with an adhesive back. Guys, I hit the jackpot.  On Amazon.com there lied an adhesive backed mini pouch perfect for business cards, licenses, and so forth.

I tried this method out last school year and let me be the first to tell you it worked perfect and I never had to worry about my cards. This is why I invite you to try out this method this school year, and let me know how it works for you. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Here’s the link  Avery Adhesive Pockets if you're interested in purchasing a pack.

Here is how it looks with a card.
