Mustache Smash has invaded my Therapy!!!

Over the Easter break, I took a trip to Target looking for some household items. However,  as usual I bought something for my speech kids.

This game is new to my kids and me; however,  some of you may have heard of it. If so, I would love to hear how you all incorporate it into therapy. For those of you who have not, I want to share the awesome new find of mine.

So, I personally decided to use this game as reinforcement and a reward.  This way I can get as much use out of it as possible.  I will say I have veered a little from the instructions and they way I use this game, is when a child gives a correct response I flip over a card from them deck the kids then rush to smash the mustache attempting to collect the most cards

In order to use this game as a reward I would just simply follow the directions.  Note: The game does state for the ages 7 years and older, however, my Kindergartners do not have problems enjoying this game.

Traditional Rules:
  • Remember which moustache you’re wearing and watch for a card match. If it’s the same color or shape, SMASH that ‘stache card! If you’re the fastest, you get a point.
  • A Moustache Pass card makes everyone pass their ‘stache to their left. Don't forget what your new one looks like or you might smash the wrong ‘stache! Note: smashing the wrong card will cost you a 2- card penalty.
  • When the entire deck of 32 moustache cards is gone, the player who has collected the most moustache cards wins!
  • Moustache Smash is for 3-6 players
The actual game comes with 6 mustaches, 32 playing cards, and 1 set of instructions. This game is awesome, besides using as a reward or for reinforcement; this game can assist in the improvement of social skills.

My suggestion to all is try it all it will not disappoint.
